Melita is the femme fatale of the circus, driving every man she meets and loves to despair. When a jealous clown slaughters a circus-goer who is in love with her, she flees to the village of Marienhagen. There, Melita finds refuge in the home of the local Catholic priest, but her misfortunes do not end there. Superstition is the most important film by a pioneering female film star and producer Ellen Richter. It was considered missing until 2020. So far, it's digital restoration has only been screened once in the world.
The film will be accompanied by Viktoras Orestas Vagusevičius (piano) and Matas Samulionis (saxophone).
